Meet The Board

Rhonda Thomas

Rhonda Thomas is the Founder and President of Atlanta-based Truth in Education, a 501(c)3 that educates parents through exposing harmful anti-Christian trends, curriculum, and policies in the school systems. Rhonda has been politically involved for over 20 years with both local and national organizations and has worked with legislators on bills and issues that affect education, children, and families. She is a member of Eagle Forum and Heritage Sentinels. Rhonda has raised money for nonprofits such as Tallulah Falls School and several foster care ministries. In addition, she served on the board of Center for Opportunity, and is a current board advisor for Public School Exit. Always ministry-minded, Rhonda is a national speaker who works with like-minded organizations to inspire parents to advocate for their children. She and her husband have two adult children.

Dran Reese

Dran Reese is the Founder and President of the 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry: The Salt & Light Council™ and initiatives, The Content of Character Series™, Judeo-Christian Caucus™, Biblical Voter™ and Public-School Exit™. The Salt & Light Council offers tools, training, and ongoing backend legal support for churches, community groups, and missionaries ready to become salt and light advocates in the government, media, and education mountains. Dran speaks nationally on Biblical Citizenship, our role, and responsibility. The Content of Character Series™ affirms the value and dignity of black Americans by offering statewide summits with nationally recognized speakers that inform, educate and activate inner-city communities in public policy and culture through a biblical worldview. The Judeo-Christian Caucus™ is a California initiative coordinating legislators with citizens on pressing issues affecting our Judeo-Christian Heritage and values in the CA government. Biblical Voter™ is a one-stop resource our all national and state voter guides and election resources for voting, including packaged kits for Biblical Voter Registration church and community drives. Dran also hosts a daily national prayer line, RepentanceandRestoration.com , that prays for America; all are welcome to join.

Duane Armstrong

Duane Armstrong was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and attended Texas Tech University. Following graduation in 1966 he began a career in the pharmaceutical industry with Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Illinois. In this position he wrote medical literature and interfaced with medical professionals. Two years later he was offered the opportunity to represent Abbott in leading hospitals in Chicago, including Northwestern Medical School. Three years later he accepted a position in Dallas, Texas, with McNeil Pharmaceutical, a Johnson and Johnson company. In this position he represented McNeil in leading hospitals in the Dallas area, including Southwestern Medical School and Baylor University Hospital. He was then promoted to District Sales Manager in Memphis, Tennessee, and two years later he was promoted to the position of Product Director in the Marketing department at the home office. Two years later he was promoted to the position of Business Director for the Southeast Region in Atlanta, where he retired in 2000 after 21 years in that position. He then consulted in the industry for two years. He and his wife, Carla, live in the Atlanta area. They have two children and 5 grandchildren.

Erik Christensen

Erik Christensen is the CEO of Bulldog Movers, Inc. After graduating from Miami University with a major in accounting and finance, he worked as both an auditor and consultant for Big Six accounting firms and as CFO for startups and private and public companies. An avid volunteer and community servant, Erik has served in leadership and on Boards for the Georgia Movers Association Dunwoody Baptist Church, Sober Living America, TeenPact, Boy Scouts, the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce, Dunwoody Preservation Trust,  Bible Study Fellowship, and Rotary. He has worked with local politicians as an advocate for transportation, real estate, energy, education, and election reform issues. Erik and his wife, Cheryl, have 5 grown children, whom they educated in combinations of homeschools, hybrid schools, private Christian schools, and public schools. Three of their five children have been educators. Erik has six grandchildren and hopes for many more. 

Dr. Robert Jones

Dr Robert Jones is a clinical psychologist who has been practicing in the metropolitan Atlanta area for more than twenty years. More than half of his practice is with children and adolescents. Prior to earning his doctorate, Dr. Jones spent several years teaching at the elementary and high school levels. He also served in ministry since 1985. In addition to his clinical work, he holds specialties in clinical hypnosis, integrative mental health, and sport psychology. Dr. Jones is frequently interviewed in these areas and is a highly sought speaker in the area of social-emotional learning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Master of Divinity, and both a Master of Arts as well as a Doctor of Psychology degrees in clinical psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Society of Psychological Hypnosis, and the Society for Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology.

Alex Newman

Alex Newman serves as the President of Liberty Sentinel Media, Inc. He has written for a wide array of publications in the U.S.  and abroad. He currently serves as a contributor to the Epoch Times, OAN News, a correspondent for the Law Enforcement Intelligence Brief, a foreign correspondent, and a senior editor for The New American magazine. Over his career as a journalist, Alex has interviewed current and former heads of state, members of Congress, royalty, and world leaders. His work, which has received numerous awards, has been highlighted by Breitbart, Fox News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, and The Associated Press. In addition, Alex has authored and co-authored several books. One of his major works was an exposé of government schools with internationally renowned Dr. Samuel Blumenfeld called Crimes of the Educators, published by WND Books. Alex has also taught advanced economics to some of America’s brightest high-school seniors for the last seven years through FreedomProject Academy, an accredited K-12 Christian school offering a classical education to students worldwide. He also has an education blog called The Newman Report. Before that, Alex was the top-performing field representative for the Leadership Institute, where he worked organizing conservative student groups and publications while recruiting young conservatives into the movement. Alex has lived in eight countries (US, Mexico, Brazil, Switzerland, France, South Africa, Spain, and Sweden) on four continents and speaks multiple languages fluently and at varying degrees of proficiency.
